New Delhi, August 17, 2026: The NCR Rope Skipping Association successfully organised the IRSF Delhi State Rope Skipping Championship at a Government School in Anand Vihar, New Delhi, with players from various schools taking part in the competition.
Young rope skippers competed across different age categories and events, displaying speed, coordination, endurance and technical skills. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation and was described by the organisers as a major success.
A significant feature of the championship was the use of the Indian Rope Skipping Federation (IRSF) Player Unique Identification Number — UID — for verification of players and determination of their eligible age categories.
According to the organisers, this was the first time the players’ IRSF UID system was used at the Delhi State Championship for identifying the correct age category of registered participants. The system is expected to help improve accuracy in player records and reduce disputes related to age-category entries in competitions.
The championship also provided an opportunity for school-level players from different parts of Delhi to compete against each other and gain tournament experience.
IAMGAME Rope Skipping Championship Announced
During the Delhi State Championship, organisers also announced the upcoming IAMGAME Rope Skipping Championship, scheduled to be held on August 21 and 22, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The upcoming competition is expected to attract rope skipping players for another major competitive opportunity in the national capital.
A cash prize pool of ₹2 lakh has also been announced for the winners of the IAMGAME Rope Skipping Championship.
The announcement generated considerable interest among the players, coaches and other participants present at the Delhi State Championship.
With the successful completion of the IRSF Delhi State Rope Skipping Championship and the IAMGAME event scheduled just days later, rope skipping activity in the national capital is set for an active week of competition.
