SportsNet News is published by Flora Lens Media Pvt. Ltd. Editorial decisions are made on the basis of public interest, accuracy and relevance to sport. Advertisers, sponsors, partners and story subjects do not receive the right to approve independent editorial coverage.
Accuracy and verification
Our journalists seek primary documents, official records, direct interviews and attributable statements. When a fact cannot be independently verified, we identify the source and the limits of what is known. Headlines, images and social posts should fairly represent the underlying story.
Fairness and right of reply
For serious or potentially damaging claims, we make reasonable efforts to contact the person or organisation concerned and include a meaningful response. A refusal to comment, or the absence of a response by publication time, may be noted. Relevant responses received later may be added as an update.
Bylines, sources and conflicts
Articles identify an individual author or Sportsnet Desk. Author pages describe professional background and published work. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is important, the source faces a credible risk and the newsroom can assess the source’s knowledge. Writers should disclose material conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where independence could reasonably be questioned.
News, opinion and commercial content
News reporting, analysis, opinion, press releases, partner stories and sponsored material should be labelled so readers can distinguish them. Payment does not guarantee favourable independent coverage. Submitted material may be edited for clarity, accuracy, legality and house style, subject to our press-release terms.
Corrections and updates

Responsible reporting
